Molly Johnson is in her second year as an Art Studio Tour Artist.  She has been a wonderful addition to the Tour.  Last year Molly’s studio in the “Old Mill” in Denmark was one of the most visited.  Welcome back to the 2010 Tour Molly!

Molly M Johnson Biography

Molly Johnson is a graduate of the American Academy of Art, Chicago and the Kewaunee Academy of Fine Art, Kewaunee.  Her schooling began with watercolor under Master Watercolorist Irving Shapiro, and Architectural Rendering under Vernon Stake. She was trained classically at the atelier in Kewaunee under Craig Bleitz, mastering charcoal and oil mediums with the figure and the still life. Molly has completed a course in sculpture of the human figure with Bren Sibilsky, and portraiture with Jove Wang and Michael Shane Neal. Her work has been represented in numerous local and national oil and watercolor shows and hangs in many private and public buildings.

Molly does many portrait commissions, teaches fine art classes in her studio/gallery located in Denmark, WI. and for Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay, WI.

Ms. Johnson is represented yearly through many shows and competitions and displays her paintings in her own gallery. Molly was represented in the Transparent Watercolor Society of America National Show in Minneapolis, MN and twice for the Oil Painter’s of America National Shows.

2010 started out with Molly being selected as Premier Exhibiting Artist  in the MacArthur Conference Room – Department of Administration Building, Madison WI,  in response to a request by Secretary Morgan.
